![]() ![]() Technically, doing Digistruct solo is easiest due to the enemy health and slag issues, but there is no room for error. If you want to get to OP8 “the hard way”, my recommendation is two players max, as long as at least one of the players has a good build and on-level (or over-level) equipment. No, you didn’t contribute a damn thing or earn it yourself, and no, I’m not naming any of the angels because I don’t want them flooded with requests. Yes, this is by far the easiest and quickest way to OP8. When you hit OP8, you leave, and others will come in and take your place. You will instantly gain an OP level, and you and the host will rinse and repeat. While you are respawning, they will rocket jump over to the Tower of Torment and kill the final boss, OMGWTF, usually before you even finish respawning. Then, it is simply a matter of killing yourself immediately after the first gate that opens (actually the second gate). One way to quickly to get to OP8 is to find one of the “angels” of BL2 with modded accounts and get in their lobby, which will already be set to OP8 level. One last item: you really need to be in UVHM and at level 72 before attempting the Raid on Digistruct Peak. TL DR: if you’re going elemental, ditch that fire weapon, use corrosive.Įdited to add: A great discussion on the subject:Īnd a great video also demonstrating Bone of the Ancients does not boost elemental damage: A Bone of the Ancients relic will NOT boost elemental damage on Digistructed flesh enemies. take bonus damage from corrosive, as they do in the rest of BL2. Many enemies (like Scorch) are coded as resistant to fire, Assassin Oney is resistant to explosive and Assassin Wot is resistant to shock. In fact, every flesh type enemy is Digistruct is coded as "neutral", unless it has a specific resistance. This is the reason you see Surveyors repairing Skags in Digistruct where you will not see that anywhere else in BL2. This is because, as Tannis will tell you, all the enemies are not “real”…they are digital reconstructions of enemies. Another lesser known effect of increasing player numbers is that the slag effect on enemies decreases for every player in the game, making it even harder for the one guy doing all the work, since enemies have more health and you’re doing less damage.Įdited for clarity: As far as Digistruct in particular, in a nutshell, NO enemy is resistant to corrosive damage, even so-called flesh type enemies. One player doing all the shooting while three players stand around with their proverbial thumbs up their asses will make for a bad time for that one player. The reason enemy health scales like that is because the game designers have made the assumption that if you have four players, they will all be shooting (aka contributing). This is because the enemy at the one player health level has less health than same enemy at the four player health level. Therefore, if you have only one person doing the shooting, meleeing or grenadeing, it is easier for that person to kill an enemy if he is solo than if he has 3 other players standing around doing nothing (or just dueling one another). ![]() Enemy health increases for every player in the game lobby. Some general points regarding BL2 in general, and Digistruct in particular, are worthy of note. BTW, I’m pretty much aiming this at the crowd who don’t have modded accounts with black weapons. Maybe the folks out there who haven’t gotten all their OP levels can too. I’m probably no expert, but I’m sure as hell a lot more knowledgeable than the aforementioned two Oblivions, so I know of at least two people that may get something out of this. As I sat there in Digistruct Peak last night, trying to simultaneously kill Saturn and keep the host with under leveled gear alive while two Oblivions (playing Salvador, of course) obliviously dueled each other on the balcony above, I decided it was high time I wrote something about how to play, and not to play, The Raid on Digistruct Peak. ![]()
